M3 Productions is a small company formed in early 2006 with a vision of starting an independent film production company where a community of writers, producers, and directors could share ideas. M3 has many future projects already in the works that will promote local talents by being submitted to statewide film festivals. The team has set out to boost the popularity of Valley bands by helping them with good quality music videos and showcasing their talents during fund raising concerts. M3 not only produces shorts, music videos & commercials internally, but will also offer this to budding directors and writers who need a place to bring their creations to life.
Lucas Martinez-Salas was born & raised in the Rio Grande Valley. Throughout his life, Lucas had always been drawn to film and wrote several screenplays in junior high and high school. Though he loved drama, his passion for science led him to study Bio-Chemistry at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey. In the spring of 2006, M3 Productions, a company Lucas co-founded, started work on "Detours", thus bringing Lucas' dream of film-making to life. Lucas has directed several short films and music videos and continues to work with M3 to produce a wide variety of film projects.
Ramiro Martinez Jr is a Writer/Editor based out of McAllen, TX who's first screenplay led to the creation of M3 Productions and their first project Detours. After its completion M3 Productions competed in the Rio Grande Valley's oldest Film Festival CineSol's First annual 36 hour Film Race where Ramiro's script let to a best actress award for the lead. After two more shorts and another entry into CineSol's 36 hour Film Race Ramiro began writing a horror/thriller movie as he became interested in the genre while working on the second 36 hour film race.
Jeric Alvarez is an Editor/Script Supervisor also based out of McAllen, TX who first assisted in the making of Detours. Since then, Jeric has participated in the past two 36 hr film race, numerous shorts, and personal film and stage ventures.
